1.Puerto Vallarta: Botanical Gardens, Distillery & Coffee Tour

★★★★★★★★★★4.4 · 39 reviews · 6 hours · from $89Our pick

Spend six hours with a bilingual guide such as Jorge, Giancarlo, or Jesus, visiting Puerto Vallarta Botanical Gardens, a tequila distillery, and an organic coffee factory. Expect orchid displays, forest trails, tastings, hotel pickup, air-conditioned transport, and useful local context.

“It was a great outing! Giovanni, the driver, and Jorge, the guide, were both courteous, professional and respectful. They picked us up right at the agreed upon time. The van was comfortable and air conditioned. Jorge has so much knowledge and tidbits of information to share! From nature, to geography to pop culture. The Botanical Gardens are stunning. There's a souvenir shop there and also at the coffee factory, both take credit cards. Julio at the tequila tasting was so fun and engaging. Great way to see these 3 places. The stop at the coffee farm was super quick. I wish it had been a bit longer.”

Spend 11 hours in Jalisco’s tequila country, traveling by bus from Guadalajara to Tequila and returning aboard the José Cuervo Express. You’ll see a live jima demonstration, learn how tequila is made at La Rojeña Distillery, taste one drink with an expert, and enjoy mariachi, folkloric dance, and sunset views. Food in Tequila is extra.

“The first stop at the Ranch was a great experience, but a bit too long. Enjoyed the drinks and tamales breakfast. Loved the Maguey explanation from an expert. Spent a little too much time here and not in Tequila, the town. Left rushed once we got to the Cuervo distillery.”
